Dr. James D. Boys to offer Political Insight on Al Jazeera

05/05/2010

The Director of Richmond’s International Relations Postgraduate Program, Dr. James D. Boys, returns to the international airwaves this evening to comment upon the impact that the British General Election may hold for the future of the Special Relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States.

With the result seen by most experts to be too close to call, Dr. Boys will offer his views upon a range of potential outcomes, including a potential Hung Parliament and the implications that this may have for Britain’s international standing.

Dr. Boys will appear as part of the Ten O’clock News hour this evening, May 5.

Dr. Boys has a relationship with Al Jazeera dating back to January 2008 and is a regular commentator on issues pertaining to the role of the United States in the world. He was called on throughout the 2008 electoral cycle and has appeared at regular intervals to present insight into the development of the Obama Presidency. In 2009 he provided commentary for the funeral of Senator Edward M. Kennedy.

Al Jazeera English began broadcasting in 2006 and is now available to over 130 million homes in over 100 countries via cable and satellite.
