Dr. James D. Boys dines at the Canadian Embassy!

Richmond's resident Americanist, Dr. James D. Boys, was invited to dine with the Canadian High Commissioner this week at an event timed to coincide with the visit to the United Kingdom by Dr. Peter Boehm, Assistant Deputy Minister for North America at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada.
Dr. Boys joined an illustrious dining group that included Dr. Tim Lynch of the Institute for the Study of the Americas and Dr. Chris Berzins, the embassy's Political Officer. Conversation centred on the future developments in transatlantic relations and the implications that such changes could pose for both Canada and the UK.
Dr. Boys remarked, "the invitation allowed for a great deal of interaction with some highly informed and influential academics and policy advisers. It was a great experience and one I hope will be able to bring to my classes here at Richmond in the coming months."
