Dr. James D. Boys Consults with the BBC

Richmond's resident Americanist Dr. James D. Boys was called in to consult with the BBC last night as part of the network's coverage of the inauguration of President Obama. Dr. Boys was the sole British expert utilised by the BBC in their London studios yesterday as their global coverage continued throughout the day. Appearing on the eleven o'clock news hour, Dr. Boys discussed the historic events of the day and the implications that the new administration will have for both America and the wider world. Dr. Boys commented, "Having consulted with the BBC throughout the electoral year it was gratifying to be called upon to comment on the inauguration of President Obama and to contribute to the BBC's global news coverage of the event, thereby taking the Richmond name to the far reaches of the globe once more."

Dr. Boys will continue his media work with an appearance on the Al Jazeera News at Nine this evening.
