Dr. Hackforth-Jones Bids Fare-Well to Richmond
23/07/2008

Dr. Hackforth-Jones
After almost sixteen years at Richmond, Professor Jos Hackforth-Jones has recently left the University. She will take up an exciting new challenge as Director of Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, at the end of August.
Jos has served Richmond in different capacities during the years. She has been a member of the Art History faculty, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, Provost and, most recently, President. Jos has said “I have had the most wonderful opportunity to work closely with all the major stakeholders in the University: students, faculty, staff and alumni pre-eminently among them. Like many at Richmond, I am passionate about our mission. Richmond as a culture and an institution, plus the individuals and groups of people who make up the University, has been wonderfully generous to me. It is the people that count: the generosity of spirit of all the major stakeholders and their unshakable belief in the value of what we provide at Richmond, has kept me here all of these years.”
We all wish Jos well in her new endeavor and thank her warmly for her extensive commitment to the Richmond University community.
