Dr Dom Alessio Publishes Article in the Social Europe Journal

Dr. Dom Alessio, Director of the Study Abroad Program and Professor of History at Richmond, has had his preliminary research into the definitions of empire and how empires are constructed published with the Social Europe Journal.

Dom's work looks at how empires are formed, not by conquest but rather by purchase and lease, and the implications of this for the actions of states and multi-national corporations today. Social Europe Journal is a cutting-edge publication examining globalisation and international relations, whose authors include Nobel laureates, international leaders and prime ministers.
