Mark Kopenski, Dean of Admissions and Vice President at Richmond recently visited Gaborone, Botswana to meet with the Ministry of Education. Dean Kopenski has been working with the ministry for the last two years in order to facilitate the placement of students at Richmond for Fall 2008.

Each year the Ministry of Education in Botswana, places academically talented students locally and globally to help build the knowledge base and skills of its youth. This year students will be placed in the USA, UK, Australia, Malaysia, Canada and South Africa.

"I am very happy to be in Gaborone and excited that the Ministry of Education in Botswana recognizes Richmond as a University worthy of such talented students," said Dean Kopenski. Dean Kopenski has had previous experience with students sponsored by the Ministry while he was working in the USA. "Students from Botswana who come to Richmond will quickly take to our international environment and contribute greatly in and out of the classroom," he said. Richmond expects to receive several students this September who will study Computer Engineering.
