Ms. Lubna of the Bahrain Embassy,
Mr. Al Qooz, Cultural Attaché
of the Bahrain Embassy,
Mr. Mark S. Kopenski, Dean
and Mr. Ghazi Lashab of Admissions

Yesterday afternoon Mr. Al Qooz, the Cultural Attaché of the Bahrain Embassy in London visited the Richmond Hill campus with associate Ms. Lubna Sulabaikh.

The goal of the visit was to provide an update on Richmond's academic programs, meet students attending Richmond from Bahrain and the Middle East and to discuss partnership opportunities between the Bahrain Embassy and Richmond University.

This was Mr. Al Qooz’s first visit to Richmond as he has just taken office in London this year.

Associate Dean of Admissions Radek Coufal made arrangements for the official visit and had this to say from his London office. "Strengthening ties with our friends from the Bahrain Embassy and welcoming Mr. Al Qooz into the diplomatic community in Greater London is quite important for the successful future of Richmond. It is the University's desire, with the assistance of the Bahrain Embassy, to attract more students to Richmond from Bahrain and eventually see those students graduate from Richmond and return to Bahrain ready and able to contribute as leaders to their country."

An official visit by Dean Kopenski and Mr. Coufal to the Bahrain Embassy in London has been arranged for next month at which time the details of a partnership will be discussed.
