ARH 103 Visits Clandon Park Estate

20/09/2010

A few students from ARH 103 visited Clandon Park estate this past weekend to see the Maori and Pacific Day of Dance at the Maori meeting house, or the 'Himemihi of the old world', which was brought back to England by 4th Earl of Onslow, Governor of New Zealand 1889-92 to his family estate in Clandon Park, Surrey.

The day consisted of a group performance by the London Maori group who did a short religious ceremony first, followed by a day of traditional dance demonstrations and an afternoon workshop.
