American executive elected Chairman of the University Board of Trustees

Dr Robert J. Brennan, a sixteen-year veteran of the Richmond University Board of Trustees was elected Chairman at the June 2006 Board meeting.

Dr Brennan is Chairman of Metro International in New York City, a non-profit organization serving international students studying in the USA. Metro International is also the annual grantors of the Fulbright Awards for leadership in international education which are presented annually at the United Nations.

Dr Brennan’s career is highlighted by a 30 year tenure at Ernst & Young Certified Public Accountants where he was the Audit Coordinating Partner and also served as Director of Personnel Development, Director of Accounting & Auditing and Director of Entrepreneurial Services. He was also President and CEO, for 15 years of the American Institute for Foreign Study.
