Richmond University Adjunct Communications Professor, Fred Vermorel recently published Addicted To Love-The Kate Moss Story by Omnibus Press. This important biography of the world famous British supermodel, an idol for teenagers, details opulence amidst pop culture theory. Vermorel examines Moss’s trademarks putting them in socio-cultural context while successfully portraying Kate Moss as a person rather than fiction. A full page review was offered on Sunday 18 June 2006 in The Observer.
An acclaimed author of Starlust (1985), which was nominated as one of the eight best music books of all time in this week’s Observer Music Supplement. Vermel is also the unofficial biographer of Vivienne Westwood in Fashion and Perversity: Vivienne Westwood and the Sixties Laid Bare (1996) as well as Sex Pistols: The Inside Story (1978), a definitive and enthralling autobiography of the Pistols. Vermorel is an Associate Professor of Communication at Richmond.
