A Graduation First!

We have pleasure in announcing the first in a series of Graduation posters and designs to be awarded to a Richmond student.

The 2010 Graduation ceremony poster was designed by Richmond's Art, Design and Media major, Katie Finlay. The design package also included Gala Dinner invitations, Guest Tickets and the Graduation Programme. The project was completed within the new ADM407 Communication Design Studio course.

Katie’s work focuses on a handcraft design, cutting and drawing a festive illustration from a single sheet of paper. The main design challenge was to balance the communication of information with the creation of an iconic design to mark this important occasion for students, families and the University.

The poster has a limited print edition of 100 and will be available for purchase at the Gala Dinner Reception on Wednesday, 12 May 2010 and also at the Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, 13 May 2010 – cost £8.

The Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, 13 May 2010 will be broadcast live on the "FRONT/HOME PAGE" of the Richmond web site!
