"Emis" - International Art Exhibition

02/04/2008

In a few weeks, 10 young international artists will be exhibiting their work in one of London’s most sophisticated areas, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The title for the show derives from the Greek word Emis which translates as We. The seniors have become like family in the past few years while working together on various projects and more recently the senior exhibition. Their creative efforts have been focused on fusing conceptual art with culturally specific messages. Through the use of a variety of media including printmaking, painting, sculpture, video and illustration the artists encourage the viewer to consider a range of current issues.

The exhibiting artists, Noor Al-Sabah, Juliana De Oliveira Campos, Brianna Deveraux, Rita Dilbert, James Erasmus, Lavinia Lascaris, Casey Riley, Anurdha Sen, Brad Smith and Talia Weston represent countries from around the world.

As Exhibition Director, I invite all of you to visit our Kensington campus during Emis and show your support for this globally diverse and creative group of artists. The show will be running from April 23, 2008 until May 15, 2008 in

Asa Briggs Hall, 17 Ansdell Street
W8 5PN.
Nearest tube: Kensington High St./Gloucester Rd.
