All's fair in love and war - 1953 a production

Imagine that the outcome of the Second World War was different from what really happened in 1945. In Craig Raine's imaginative re-working of Jean Racine's ANDROMACHE the Axis powers have been triumphant and Benito Mussolini's son Vittorio has as his hostage the Princess of Wales and her son Angus. Hitler sends Count von Orestes to demand that the Italians deliver the boy to Germany. However, Vittorio has fallen in love with his English hostage. The play is set 8 years after the end of the Second World War in 1953.

The Theatre students are presenting 5 performances of this play in the Richmond Hill Theatre from Monday 12th -Friday 16th April at 7:30pm. Tickets are £5 and are available at the door from 7:00pm.
