Ms Anna Stearman
Adjunct Assistant Professor

Ms Anna Stearman
Anna was born in London and has taught at Richmond since 2000. Her first degree, in English and Drama from the University of Kent and Charles University, Prague, was followed by an MA with distinction from London's Central School of Speech and Drama.
Previously, she worked as a film production assistant, founded a children's theatre group and later, with other performance artists, a theatre company, for which she wrote, directed and devised plays, performance pieces and live art installations in various venues in London, as well as working as a street theatre player in Canterbury. She has also taught Drama, Literacy and Creative Writing to adults and children privately, at local primary schools and at Further Education level for Hounslow Adult and Community College as part of the ESF European Fund.
She is a regular Creative Writing tutor at the Small Festival, winner of the National Trust Poetry in the Park competition at Osterley and an active member and bursary award winner of London's Poetry School. She is passionately interested in guiding people as they make greater contact with their imaginative and intellectual potential and enjoys the breadth of experiences that Richmond Students bring to the classroom. She also runs Creative Writing workshops for The American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS).
