Charles Danby
Charles Danby was born in Richmond. He studied painting at Norwich School of Art and Design, Kingston University and the Slade School of Fine Art. He is an artist, writer and curator and has worked extensively in each of these fields. He is an invited curator at Siobhan Davies Studios in London, and has presented exhibitions outside the UK in countries including Norway – Grand National Art From Britain (2010), Belgium – Soul Stripper (2008) and Albania – Pranvere (2007). He has written for leading arts publications including Untitled, Frieze and Art Review, and was Assistant Editor of the visual arts magazine Miser&Now (2008-09). Recent studio exhibitions include Lobby – Cell Projects, London (2009) and Lanskip - Hotel Maria-Kapel, Holland (2009). He has previously taught at the Slade School of Fine Art and Loughborough University.
