Assistant Professor in Management

Asiya Validova is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Business and Economics. She is teaching INB 302 Foreign Trade Policy, and MGT 304 Research Methods. She earned her MS (Hons) in International Relations in Russia.

Asiya received her PhD in International Economics from the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance in Russia. She has years of experience of working in transition economy lecturing in the broad discipline of International Economics with specializations including international trade, foreign trade policy, and monetary policy.

After completing her PhD, she moved to London, and continued research in Royal Holloway, University of London in such areas as trade liberalisation and wage inequality. Asiya's research interests range widely including history of the world economy, financial globalisation and market reforms in Russia.

Having worked in banking and management, Lyndon is now an Executive Director and Shareholder at Sourcecom Technologies and the Tecor Group – both active in the ICT sector. Previously he was the Chief Executive of the National Olympic Committee of South Africa (NOCSA).
