Terms & Conditions

BY PURCHASING A SPACE ON A UNIVERSITY TRIP, STUDENTS AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH HERE:b>

  • The University operates a strict no refund policy. The University cannot offer refunds for trips or activities. In the case that a student cannot go, it may be possible to find an alternate student, within the restrictions placed upon us by plane, train, ferry or hotel operators. Any cost incurred for changing names will be paid by either the student who is canceling or the alternate student.
  • Participating in a trip does not count as an excused absence. Check your schedule before committing to a trip. Internship students should note that they may be required to work on Fridays as part of their work/study program. Weekend trips depart on Friday morning and return Sunday night. Students will not be issued refunds if they can not attend a trip due to a class or work requirement, and therefore should check before they commit to buying a space.
  • Students will be notified via University email of the itinerary a few days before each trip. It is the students responsibility to make sure that he/she checks the email to get the information. If the student does not receive notification via University email, it is the student’s responsibility to contact the Student Affairs Department so that the situation can be rectified.
  • Spaces are offered subject to availability, strictly on a first come first served basis. The number of spaces on each trip is strictly limited, particularly in the case of weekend/week-long trips. Requesting a space through our website is not in itself a guarantee of securing a space. But the earlier you make your request, the better chance you have of getting a place on a trip. Spaces cannot be held without payment.
  • Details of the trips listed are subject to change. The details for the activities listed in this brochure are correct at the time of going to press, but are subject to changes as circumstances dictate. You will be made aware of any changes to schedules etc., at the earliest possible opportunity via e-mail, posters and student mail.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to acquire any necessary travel documentation. Failure to obtain any necessary travel documents will not entitle the student to a refund. If you are not sure that you need a visa to enter a particular country, visit the following web site www.wtg-online.com.
  • The University reserves the right to cancel any trip should there be insufficient numbers. Students will be notified well in advance should a trip be cancelled. The student will then receive a refund for the trip.
  • The European Magic Spring Break and Egypt trips are subject to a minimum number of students. If this number is not met, students will have the choice (under no obligation) to participate on the trip independently with a private tour operator. As this would not qualify as a University sponsored trip, the University does not claim any responsibility.
  • The University cannot be held responsible for spaces which are not reserved as the result of an online booking that is returned with incomplete or denied credit card details. Every effort will be made to contact the credit card holder.
