Inter-campus Travel Scheme

Who is eligible?
Degree students who live on campus (either Kensington or Richmond), but have one or two of their classes at the other campus, are eligible for the subsidised travel scheme. In this regard, the University strongly encourages all residential students to reside on the same campus where they take the majority of their classes. For this reason, a student who has three classes on one campus, but chooses to live at the other campus, is not eligible for the travel scheme.

What is the scheme?
Students on the scheme will have their tavel to and from class subsidised by the university. Students are expected to contribute £2 towards their travel costs for each day that they must travel to the other campus - the university will pay the difference.

How does it work?
We will find out who lives on-campus and has classes at the other campus. We will then calculate how much you should be credited by going through your class schedule and working out how often you need to travel.

Each day that you have to travel to the other campus, your Oyster card will be credited. The total amount of credit will calculated by multiplying the number of weeks, minus your £2 contribution.

How do I get started?
Go to the Student Affairs Office at the Richmond Campus to figure out how much credit you are due and how much contribution you will make to the scheme. We will explain the details to you then.
