Amnesty International

Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 3 million supporters, members and activists in more than 150 countries and territories who campaign to end grave abuses of human rights. The  vision is for every person to enjoy all the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards. It is independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion and is funded mainly by  membership and public donations.   The organisation raises awareness through letter writing, lectures, and walks.

The Amnesty International club at Richmond focuses on making Richmond students aware of  human rights violation around the world. The club focuses on writing letters, organising lectures, and other activities that aid in raising awareness for human rights. In the past, the club has written letters for women rights, victims of torture  and much more.

I found my time in Richmond challenging as much as pleasant and enriching. The high degree of attention a student gets from his professors, the personalised structure of each degree and the immense networking possibilities are only some of the unique benefits from pursuing a degree at Richmond.
