Work Experience
There are many ways to gain work experience while you are studying and the Office of Student Affairs is a great resource for this.
Whether you are interested in taking on a student leadership position, volunteering in your community or finding part time work to supplement your income, you will find resources and contacts both on-line and in person at both campuses.
Get Involved!
We strongly encourage you to start thinking about building a portfolio of skills relevant to future employers. By getting involved on campus you can greatly extend your skills set and develop such valuable skills as:
Leadership
Communication
Team Work
Independence
Cultural awareness
Problem solving
the list goes on and on
You could become actively involved in one of the many clubs and societies, become a member of Residence Life, join the Student Ambassadors, volunteer at the University or in the community, or obtain a part-time job. Talk to a member of the Student Affairs department about your options!
