Honors Night Ceremony

Honors Night Ceremony

Honors Night is the formal ceremony held every Spring to recognize students who have excelled in the academic and extra-curricular life of the University. Invitation to Honors Night is an achievement in itself.

Academic Awards

Award Winners at Honors Night

Prof Parvis Dabir-Alai and sutdent Sanjay Raja

Students who are on the Dean’s list (with a GPA of 3.4 or above) for two consecutive semesters in the Spring and Fall (or Fall only for Freshman) are invited to attend Honors Night. At the ceremony they receive a framed certificate to mark their achievement.

We also honor a select number of outstanding senior students who in the judgment of faculty have excelled in their major field of study. In addition, non-seniors (that is juniors, sophomores and freshmen), selected by faculty because of their academic excellence, are also honored and receive a framed certificate.
