Student Staff: The Residence Life Co-ordinators

The Residence Life Team at Richmond Hill

The Residence Life Coordinators who live on campus are supported by a number of staff, who also live in University residences. These staff: Resident Directors and Resident Advisors, are all current students. They are responsible for certain corridors or areas in the buildings and will be your first point of contact while living in university housing.

Sarah Daniels

Sarah Daniels is from Seattle, Washington. In Seattle, she was involved in dance and theatre, as well as political activities for 4 years. At Richmond, she is majoring in International Relations with a minor in History. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she plans to volunteer with the Peace Corps in Sub-Saharan Africa or the Dominican Republic. She says that going to school is London is an amazing opportunity to travel and be immersed in a new culture.

Sarah is an RD and lives in Courtfield Gardens.


Jake Pritchard

Jake Pritchard is a sophomore majoring in International Relations with a minor in Political Science. He is from Woodstock, CT and his favourite thing about Richmond is - the friends, connections, and memories that you make at University will last a lifetime. London is great for exploring who you are as a person, and because Richmond has such a diverse student population, it has something for everyone.

Coco Humphries

Corinne Humphries is a junior who is majoring in Psychology. She grew up in sunny Huntington Beach, California. Corinne goes by the nickname Coco. Her most favorite past time activities are watching Disney movies and reading books of any genre. She loves to travel and smile and meet new people. That is why she enjoys Richmond as much as she does: it gives students the opportunity to meet new people and make wonderful friends.

Coco is an RA and lives in the Main Building.


Miriam Dyberg

Miriam Dyberg is a junior majoring in history and psychology. Although she is originally from Sweden, her family now lives in various US states. Miriam’s favorite thing about Richmond is the atmosphere and the school’s motto ‘unity in diversity’.

Miriam is an RD living in Main Building.


Caitlin Morton

Caitlin Morton is a senior majoring in Communications and minoring in Theatre. She is originally from California, but now resides in Houston, Texas.
Her favorite part about Richmond is the wonderful experience one gets living and studying in London.

Caitlin is RD for Red House, Lower Cottage and Longley.


Josh Elflein

Josh Elflein is a senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Theatre. Joshua hails from the quaint mountain town of Cedaredge, Colorado. His favourite aspect of life at Richmond is its truly unique atmosphere that the diverse student body creates, every student is unique and memorable. It's an experience that can't be matched.

Josh is an RA at Courtfield Gardens.


Rachel Alberstadt

Rachel Alberstadt is a junior with a double major in international relations and history. Her particular interests are in Russian politics & history and international law. She is from Kaiserslautern, Germany. Rachel thinks the best things about Richmond are the extensive academic, networking, and career opportunities combined with a fun environment of like-minded colleagues within the settings of museum-filled London.

Rachel is an RA in Atlantic House.



Alex Neidert

Alex Neidert is a sophomore majoring in history with a minor in theatre. He is from Lakewood, Ohio, and has always had a passion for travelling. He loves the opportunities and diversity that Richmond has to offer, and of course the great experience of living in London. Alex's advice is to take every chance you get to explore, learn and just have fun. Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death.

Geraldine Rukasha

Geraldine Rukasha is from Harare, Zimbabwe. She's a senior in Finance minoring in Economics. She lives with one philosophy- Tomorrow may never come so live each day as it comes and dont worry what tomorrow will bring.

Geraldine is an RA and lives in Atlantic House.


Eric Lomotey

Eric T. B. Lomotey is a Senior majoring in Psychology. He enjoys any and every type of sport activity, as well as the many activities that studying in the U.K. offers. Although he grew up in New Jersey, he was fortunate enough to visit London many times before choosing to go to University. Eric believes that the diversity London gives is without a doubt one of its best qualities along with having new experiences and meeting new people virtually everyday. He loves community service, and loves engaging with others even more. He is a charter member of the Beta Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. here at Richmond.

Eric is an RD and he lives in Atlantic House.


Alex H Mamalis

Alex Hamel Mamalis is a senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Theatre Arts. He prefers to call himself a citizen of the universe, though he holds a European passport and a U.S. passport. The essence of Richmond to him is the smell of nature early in the morning, the magic of the Main Building late at night and the stories formed through time with friends in Richmond. He can't get enough of the sights offered through trips, or Richmond Hill alone, wishes for more music at Top of the Hill, and recommends you never miss events such as Top of the Hill, plays, Octoberfest, Springfest, pizza nights, and most importantly International Night!

Alex is RD for Montford House.


Sean Steadman

Sean Steadman is a Junior, who is majoring in Art, Design & Media. He was born in the United States but also has a Hispanic background. He graduated from high school in Seoul, Korea.
Sean's favorite part about Richmond is the many groups of people he meets, and how they all bond by being in the same place at the same time.

Polina Penkova

Polina Penkova is a senior at Richmond and a Resident Advisor in Parkvew. She is majoring in International Relations and minoring in Art, Design and Media. She was born in Bulgaria but has lived half of her life in California, USA. This background has always led her to appreciate diverse environments. Her favorite thing about Richmond is the fact that even in the smallest classes of just 10-15 people there will be at least several nationalities represented in the classroom, including the professors.

Polina is RD for Parkview.


Beck Knows the Ground

Rebecca Knows the Ground is a junior majoring in Art, Design and Media. Rebecca also goes by the nickname Beck and is from Prescott Valley, Arizona. She is half Crow and half Irish and her interests include film, traveling, and reading. Rebecca's advice for incoming Richmond students: get to know as many people as possible and take full advantage of all of the opportunities that the university has to offer.

Ronda Embick

Ronda Embick is a sophomore majoring in psychology. She is from a small town in central Pennsylvania.
One of her favorite things to do is to travel, which she plans on doing a lot of during her stay at Richmond. Her favorite thing about Richmond is its location. It is close enough to enjoy the city life in central London, yet has Richmond Park for a more relaxing aspect. Ronda's advice for new students is to explore the city as much as possible. There is a lot to do both inside and outside of Richmond.

Tammy Tilling

Tammy Tilling is a junior majoring in Psychology. She was born in St.lucia and moved to the British Virgin Islands at 8 years old. She is one of the founding members of an organisation for girls at Richmond called I.SIS. Her favourite past times are watching horror movies and traveling. She also enjoys singing and nail art. Her favourite thing about attending Richmond is meeting all kinds of interesting people from different backgrounds.

Kristina Jackson

Kristina Jackson is a sophomore majoring in Art, Design, and Media with a minor in Theater and Art History. She lives in Temecula, California. She loves to travel, listen to music, read and experience what the world can offer. This is why she believes that Richmond University is such a great place to be. With its central location to almost everything it is easy to go out and learn from your surroundings. One of her favorite things about Richmond is its diversity of people and the friendships and memories that are so easy to create.

Christopher Iafelice is a Sophomore majoring in Art, Design and Media with a minor in Film Studies. He is from Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. His favourite thing about Richmond is – everything. The environment, friends, connections and memories that are made during the time at University are key to succeed in life. There are so many different cultures represented here, and you learn so much from being around them. Each professor has his or her own story and different background, and it is always fascinating to learn about them. Most of the professors at Richmond have done some big things in their lives, which is great for the students because you now have an adult that has done something in your major that can point you in the right direction if needed. After completing his undergraduate he plans on getting a MA and eventually becoming a Film Producer.

Study Abroad - International Internship

As a Junior at Eureka College in Illinois, Amanda sought an opportunity to come to London to study. She fell in love with Richmond's academic program and location and secured an internship with Cameron PR in Covent Garden. The opportunity to experience the West End Theatre scene was very important for her as she was leaning towards drama as a major.
