Richmond University – International Program with St. Joseph’s College of Commerce 

About the Program 

Richmond University’s partnership program with St. Joseph’s College of Commerce (SJCC), Bangalore, enables students to enrol at SJCC and spend the first year of their undergraduate degree at Bangalore, before transferring to Richmond to complete the remainder of the degree. Bangalore being one of the prominent cities in India offers a wide range of educational, business and cultural opportunities. St. Joseph's College, Bangalore, with a history of 144 years is currently ranked 10th among India’s top 50 colleges for commerce by India Today magazine. 

Academic Program 

Students will follow the BBM pathway offered at SJCC and will transfer to the Richmond Hill Campus on completion of 2 semesters (1 year) at our partner campus in Bangalore. Students transferring from St. Joseph's College of Commerce will spend approximately 6 semesters[*] at Richmond University in order to qualify for a BA Business Administration: International Business. 

All students who enrol at Richmond will be allocated an academic advisor who will provide guidance on planning their coursework. Students are also given the option to major in Finance or Marketing leading to a BA Business Administration: Finance or BA Business Administration: Marketing[†]

All students must meet the eligibility criteria set by SJCC. For more information on the admissions requirements please click here. 

Students must complete two semesters at SJCC with marks of 50% or more in order to transfer their grades to Richmond. 

How to Apply 

Students are required to apply using application forms issued by St. Joseph’s College. In order to obtain the forms, please contact: vasudes@richmond.ac.uk. An application and prospectus fee is payable to St. Joseph’s College at the time of submitting the application. 

Tuition Fees 

The tuition fee for the first two semesters at SJCC is approximately INR 150,000. This is subject to be reviewed each year. 

The on-campus tuition fee at Richmond University will be GBP 10,000 (currency converter). No scholarships are available. 

The tuition fee both at SJCC and Richmond do not include food and accommodation. 

Room and Board 

At Bangalore

SJCC is located on Brigade Road in the heart of Bangalore. There are several paying guest and student housing facilities available in the vicinity of the campus. These facilities are available at very reasonable rates. 

At London

On-campus food and accommodation is available at the Richmond Hill Campus. The fee for room and board for the year 2010-2011 is GBP 7720.
