Welcome to our website. We invite you to discover the distinctive benefits and special qualities of Richmond, The American International University of London.

At Richmond your child earns an academic degree that is recognized in both the U.K. and in the U.S. Richmond students come from over 100 countries, from a multitude of ethnic, cultural and linguistic groups and most of the world’s religions. No one group dominates or is in the majority. Thus, international, diverse, multicultural and intercultural are just a few of the ways to best describe the university. Understanding and respect are a natural result of students living and studying together. Differences are both recognized and celebrated at Richmond.

Richmond educates a multi-cultural student body in the American liberal arts tradition, and provides its students with the intellectual and personal skills that will enable them to exercise influence and succeed in an increasingly interdependent and evolving world. The University prepares to graduate students who possess a world perspective and awareness that includes an understanding of cultural distinctions. An internationally minded faculty encourages the ability to communicate effectively so graduates are well positioned to assume leadership responsibilities in careers in which issues with global implications are addressed.

The degrees which students gain from Richmond are both British and American. This is because Richmond’s undergraduate degrees are accredited and validated in the United States (Middle States) and the United Kingdom (Open University Validation Services). Students receive two degree certificates. Wherever graduates then start their career or go on to graduate study, their dual-validated degree from Richmond will be recognized worldwide.

We know that all of this is the best preparation for success in your child’s professional and personal life in this global, multicultural world.
