Medical Ethics & Bioethics

AMA Code of Medical Ethics - Ethics code of the American Medical Association, along with opinions, updates and CEJA Reports.

BMA Code of Ethics - Ethical issues from the British Medical Association.

Center for Bioethics - Dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge concerning ethical issues in health care and the life sciences. Go to the Resource Center for information on many bioethical issues.

President's Council on Bioethics - "Advising the President on ethical issues related to advances in biomedical science and technology". Topics covered include cloning, stem cells, sex selection, patenting and genetic enhancement versus therapy.

Political Ethics

Center on Conscience and War - "CCW works to defend and extend the rights of conscientious objectors. The Center is committed to supporting all those who question participation in war, whether they are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, documented or undocumented immigrants -- or citizens in other countries".

The Torture Question - Program from the PBS concerning interrogation policy and prisoner abuse in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay. Also includes opinion on whether torture is ever justified.
