American Studies Today Online - Described as Britain's first on-line journal of American studies. While the range of subjects covered is necessarily broad, there are some useful articles appropriate to American history. History Central - Historycentral is dedicated to becoming History's Home on the web. The core of the site is the timeline of world history covering the major events in world history from the dawn of civilization to 1999, though the focus is mainly on the USA.

The History Place - Provides links to topics such as the American revolution, the Civil War, child labour, the moon landings, World War II, the Vietnam war and Presidents of the USA.

Voice of the Shuttle - US history pages - Large collection of resources. Although most deal with the Revolution and the Civil war, there are sections on 20th century US history including McCarthy, the Vietnam war, the Civil Rights movement, and the history and culture of the sixties.
