The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (WIIW): - The Austrian Think-tank for expertise on Central and Eastern Europe, CIS and the Balkans. Analyses economic developments of countries in transition (including China), studies East-West European integration and focuses on comparative aspects of global economic trends.

It includes the WIIW Balkan Observatory which is a portal to statistics, research and communication in relation to economic developments in South-Eastern Europe.
