CIESIN: Center for International Earth Science Information Network - "A distributed, electronic data and information system created to address the information needs of users concerned with understanding global environmental change and sustainable development issues".

CLUES: Centre for Computer-based learning in Land Use and Environmental Sciences - Hosted by the University of Aberdeen and incorporating the CTI and LTSN centres.

ENVIROLINK: the online environmental community - A non-profit organization which has been providing access to thousands of online environmental resources since 1991.

Environmental Literacy Council - A website which aims to develop environmental literacy: a fundamental understanding of the systems of the world, both living and non-living, along with the analytical skills needed to weigh scientific evidence and policy choices. Special secrions focus on Air and Climate, Land, Water, Ecosystems, Energy, Food and the Environment and Society.

Environmental Research Web - Part of the Institute of Physics Publishing's open-access community, created to provide a forum for scholarly discussion and analysis of environmental issues & policy.

GEsource: Geography and environment gateway - a free information resource for Geography and the Environment as part of the Resource Discovery Network

GreenNet - GreenNet supports a progressive community working for peace, the environment, civil rights and social justice, through the use of information communication technologies. It provides links to GN members sites, as well as to sections entitled Action and Campaigns, and Issues and themes.
