Ed Research Online - The EdResearch Online database contains 14,439 online education research documents and articles. These form a subset of the Australian Education Index. 70% of the documents are linked to freely available full-text documents. The remaining 30% can be purchased online for AU$22 per article.

ERIC - A national information system funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences to provide access to education literature and resources.
E*Subscribe - The ERIC Document Reproduction Service (EDRS), is the document delivery component of the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC). ERIC is a nationwide information network sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education designed to provide ready access to education literature. The ERIC database is the world's largest index to journal articles and documents in education, containing over 1,200,000 citations. ERIC documents include a wide variety of resources such as teaching guides, research reports, bibliographies, issue papers, instructional materials, and test and evaluation instruments. EDRS makes these non-journal resources available to the public in microfiche and electronic collections as well as individually. Approximately 92% of the documents abstracted in ERIC are available from EDRS.

Information Literacy & Educational Skills
PIRLS - Thirty-five countries participated in PIRLS 2001, IEA's new state-of-the-art Progress in International Reading Literacy Study at the fourth grade (9- and 10-year-olds). With 150,000 students tested, PIRLS 2001 is the first in a planned 5-year cycle of international trend studies in reading literacy.
PISA - PISA, a three-yearly survey of the knowledge and skills of 15-year-olds in the principal industrialised countries, assesses how far students near the end of compulsory education have acquired some of the knowledge and skills that are essential for full participation in society. It presents evidence on student performance in reading, mathematical and scientific literacy, reveals factors that influence the development of these skills at home and at school, and examines what the implications are for policy development.
