Biz/ed: Business profiles - A gateway to business resources including company profiles and case studies, and the Virtual worlds teaching materials.
The British Library - The British Library's holdings of company annual reports can be checked by searching the SCORE database. There is also access to online versions of Environmental reports.
CAROL - Company Annual Reports On-line - Links to 500+ UK quoted company reports, 600+ European top 1000 quoted company reports, and 400+ major Asian company reports.
County Web UK business directory - A comprehensive county-based business directory containing details of 2.5 million UK businesses. You can search for a company by entering a keyword and a location, and restrict your search to individual towns.
EBSCOhost Company Profiles (Datamonitor) - This resource is provided via a RAIUL Library subscription. EBSCOhost Business Source Premier provides access to Datamonitor company profiles which are particularly useful because they include a SWOT analysis for many companies. You can access these from the Company Profiles button.
EDGAR - The SEC (US Securities & Exchange Commission) requires all public companies (except foreign companies and companies with less than $10 million in assets and 500 shareholders) to file registration statements, periodic reports, and other forms electronically through EDGAR. Anyone can access and download this information for free. Also includes a list of SIC codes.
EthiSphere: the world's most ethical companies - In assembling the rankings of the World’s Most Ethical Companies, the researchers and editors of Ethisphere examined more than 5,000 companies across 30 separate industries looking for true ethical leadership.
Euromonitor GMID - This resource is provided via a RAIUL Library subscription. 'The "Global Market Information Database" provides key business intelligence on countries, companies, markets and consumers. It is an integrated on-line information system covering over 350 markets and 207 countries.'

Financial Times Pink Pages - The FT has began to charge for access to some of their pages. The full content of the FT is accessible via Lexis-Nexis. There is also access to a free Annual Reports Service.
Fortune 500 (for the USA) and Fortune Global (for world ranking) - Company snapshots, which provide links to the company web sites, for the Fortune 500 companies (both US and global). Also provides other listings of companies e.g. best companies for minorities, best companies to work for, fastest growing companies, most admired companies globally or in the US etc.
Hemmington-Scott - Company Fundamentals - Free summary financials & company information.
Hoover's Online - The Business network - Access to some of the information contained in the Hoover's handbooks. Also provides lists of companies by industry sector.
Lexis-Nexis Business & News - This resource is provided via a RAIUL Library subscription. Ask a librarian for the username and password. News coverage from approximately 12,000 publications comprising national & local newspapers, press releases, transcripts of tv broadcasts, newswires, statistical bulletins, magazines and trade journals. The company option provides access to millions of financial reports and company profiles from around the world.
SCORE (Search Company Reports) - The purpose of this site is to enable researchers to locate company reports held in UK libraries and archives. Be aware that the database contains only partial holdings information for some participating collections.

Yell - USA - An A-Z index of USA companies.
Dun and Bradstreet - news and company directory - Much of the Dun & Bradstreet information is fee based, but there is free company news (organised by country), and a free directory of company names and addresses.
RBA Directories - RBA provide this regularly updated gateway to company and telephone directories.
