Supporting Richmond through Volunteering

As a Richmond graduate, you are a member of a unique group of more than 5,000 talented alumni worldwide. One way to reconnect with London and Richmond, to add value to Richmond today, and to get to know your fellow alums is by volunteering to help the University. You can support our prospective students as they apply to attend Richmond, help recent graduates as they return home to start their careers, assist local alumni events, liaise with your classmates to help the Alumni Relations Office. In each of these roles, you will help to shape and develop Richmond’s future.

Volunteer to participate in one of the opportunities below. They are all mutually rewarding.

Mentor a recent graduate

Playing a role as Mentor to a recent graduate or new alumnus/a is an important way to help a Richmond student get started in his/her career. A mentor is “an experienced and trusted adviser” to a new alumnus/a. Richmond’s mentoring programme is structured in such a way as to foster a trusting relationship providing the Mentee with guidance, support and encouragement to help develop his/her options after graduation and in a career.

Study Abroad - International Internship

As a Junior at Eureka College in Illinois, Amanda sought an opportunity to come to London to study. She fell in love with Richmond's academic program and location and secured an internship with Cameron PR in Covent Garden. The opportunity to experience the West End Theatre scene was very important for her as she was leaning towards drama as a major.
