Exam Times and Dates Spring 2012

The Spring 2012 exam timetable has now been published and is available by clicking on the link below.

Exams have a separate schedule and are NOT held at the same time as your classes are timetabled.

This new system of scheduling allows the process to be much more student-centred than has been possible in the past, when the exam schedule was based solely around the class timetable.  We have been able to reduce the number of exams per student in a day, to make greater allowances for students with special educational needs, and to reduce travel issues between the two campuses.

However, this means that the exam timetable is now published after Add/Drop week, when class registrations have been finalized.

ANY TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MADE BEFORE THE PUBLICATION OF THE EXAM TIMETABLE.

This information concerning travel and the later publication of the exam timetable has been available to students since Registration last semester (October 2011).  Any students who neglected to follow the guidance on not booking travel before the end of the exam period, and who now have a travel scheduling issue, have the right to petition the Academic Standards Committee (ASC) for a re-sit.

The Registrar's Office cannot change the time of your exam.  Your instructor cannot change the time of your exam.  If you have an issue, your only option is ASC.  The result of your petition will be communicated to you in due course.

Please see the Examination Guidelines for Students published on the registration page of the portal.
