This was an extremely competitive year for this grant program. Professor Fouskas’s application was one of 27 selected from over 140 applications submitted.

Professor Fouskas, who is also the Editor of the Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies (Routledge, quarterly), will delve into the research papers of Nancy Crawshaw, a pioneer British investigative journalist who spent much of her life in writing on the ethnic conflict in Cyprus. Princeton University Library is the only place where this rare collection of papers can be found.
