Professor John Annette, President

Welcome to Richmond, a distinctive international university in London, preparing students for international careers and encouraging them to become active global citizens.

With students from over 100 countries around the world, Richmond provides an opportunity for multicultural friendship and intercultural exchange. Our faculty are committed to the learning needs of our students who are typically taught in a small class environment. They provide students with an international curriculum which includes academic subjects and intercultural learning. Richmond’s distinctions include dual accreditation in both the USA and the United Kingdom. We emphasize the best of both the US and UK systems of education: the US focus on the liberal arts and the British system of specialization.

The University has the added attraction of being situated in the beautiful town of Richmond, within easy reach of central London.  First and second year students are based at the Richmond Hill campus whilst third and fourth-year and MA students are based at our Kensington campus, at the heart of what is one of the most dynamic and cosmopolitan cities in the world.

We have a special commitment to experiential learning with the provision of internships which enable students to experience areas of work related to their academic subjects and to explore possible graduate career opportunities.  Students are both intellectually challenged and enabled to be active global citizens through the development of service learning (learning through volunteering) and via a curriculum which encourages an awareness of globalization, international relations and cultural diversity.  There are also opportunities for students to spend a study semester at our centers in Florence or Rome and participate in the internship program in China.  At Richmond, students and staff are members of a friendly, supportive and international community.  Our students gain valuable and enjoyable learning experiences both within and beyond the classroom.

We want Richmond graduates to be prepared to become world leaders and to have the knowledge and skills for successful careers in the world of international business, public service or politics.  As a member of our international alumni network, graduates continue to benefit from the links and friendships they made whilst at Richmond.

Please get in touch for further information.  I firmly believe that Richmond provides a unique environment for ambitious students who want a truly special, international education in London.
