Why Liberal Arts?
The interdisciplinary Liberal Arts approach offers not just breadth but also depth of study and encourages students to make sound judgements and think independently.
A Liberal Arts education is one which encourages you to explore a wide range of subjects and programmes. It reaches across disciplines, building connections between different academic areas such as literature, science, mathematics, writing, business and psychology.
Upon entry to Richmond University all students study the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum before specialising in their chosen field.
How long will I have to study for?
Normally, a Richmond degree is completed over four years or eight semesters. However, the duration of your undergraduate programmes will depend on your entry qualifications. Students entering with A Levels at grade C and above or equivalent qualifications will normally be exempt from some courses in the first year and may be able to complete the degree programme in seven semesters. Students entering with a US High School Diploma or equivalent will normally complete in four years.
